We’re thrilled you’re coming—get ready for a sweet time filled with laughter, great people, and of course, delicious ice cream! Here are a few tips to make the most of your workshop: Arrive early: We recommend arriving at least 10 minutes before your scheduled start time. Dress for the kitchen: Closed-toed shoes are a must, and if your hair is longer than shoulder-length, please pull it back. Comfort is key: You’ll be standing and cooking for most of the workshop, so dress accordingly. Create Your Own Flavor Workshops (Ages 13+) Team up in pairs with four ice cream makers per workstation (if your group has an odd number, no worries—new friends are part of the fun!). Guided by your workshop instructor, you’ll create your very own ice cream flavor and head home with a pint of your signature creation. Sweet Kids Workshops (Recommended ages 5–12) In these kid-friendly workshops, ice cream makers team up in groups of four to create their own vanilla-based ice cream. Each child will take home a half-pint of their delicious masterpiece! Ice Cream Labs (All Ages) This self-guided experience is all about creativity! Work solo to craft your pint of ice cream by choosing a flavor, color, and up to two add-ins for a one-of-a-kind treat. We customize every workshop to delight our registered guests, so reservations are a must for our Create Your Own Flavor and Sweet Kids experiences. Feeling spontaneous? No problem! You can book up to two hours before the workshop begins. For our exciting new Ice Cream Labs, walk-ins are welcome! But here’s the scoop: tickets cost a little more at the door. Save your dollars (and your spot!) by booking online ahead of time.

Our shop is open for ice cream making workshops Fridays - Sundays. We are open during the following times: Fridays: 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM Saturdays: 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM; 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM; 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM Sundays: 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM; 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM

In order to provide you with an exceptional experience, we have a firm no refund policy. If you cancel your reservation more than 24 hours in advance, you will be issued a credit to reschedule for another workshop that occurs within the next 30 days. The issued credit will be equal to the original amount paid for the workshop. Refunds and/or credits will not be issued if the new workshop is of lesser value than the original workshop. If a workshop of greater value is selected, the remaining balance will be due at the time of booking. Please note - only one (1) reschedule of this type will be granted, a second cancellation, even if it is within the following 30 days, will result in the forfeiture of your ticket. If you cancel within 24 hours of your scheduled workshop (including bookings made less than 24 hours before the start of the workshop), arrive late, or fail to show, you will not have the option to reschedule. Please note - complimentary workshop tickets are ineligible for refunds, credits, and/or rescheduling. This includes tickets provided for brand partnerships, giveaway winners, private event hosts, birthday club subscribers, employees, and/or other marketing promotions. We reserve the right to cancel workshops due to bad weather, low enrollment, and/or unforeseen circumstances. In the event of the aforementioned cancellation, all registered attendees will be notified and issued a full refund. To reschedule, please email the Sweet Wynns customer care team at eat@sweetwynns.com with the full name on the reservation and the date and time of the original workshop.

As workshops will begin promptly at the scheduled time, late arrivals will be unable to participate in the activity. Please be advised, we do not offer refunds or a reschedule in the event you are late to your workshop.

Generally, our adult workshops require our ice cream makers to be at least 13 and our kids' workshops are for children ages 5 to 12. Please note that some of our specialty workshops have additional age restrictions. This information can be found in the 'Details' section of the workshop.

With the exception of bottled water, outside food and drinks are not permitted inside the workshop.

While we don't allow outside alcohol on-site, a glass of wine is provided during our adult workshops. This complimentary add-on will be provided to ticket holders who are 21+ with valid identification. We encourage all ice cream makers to review our alcohol policy here.

This is one of our biggest requests and we are currently working on creating non-dairy and vegan workshops. We hope to have some available soon!

We do our best to accommodate allergies and we kindly ask our ice cream makers to notify us in advance of any known allergies. Our standard recipe uses cow's milk which cannot be substituted at this time. Additionally, the in-house flavors served in our adult classes may contain common allergies such as: tree nuts, eggs, wheat, peanuts, and/or soy. We encourage our ice cream makers with allergies to ask for the ingredient listing prior to consuming these flavors.

Our workshop is located at 1209 E Main Street, Suite A, Richmond, VA 23219. There are no steps to get into the building and everything is on one floor. We have two single-occupancy bathrooms, both of which are ADA compliant. While we do stand during the ice cream making process, our guests are welcome to bring a chair and rest as needed. We do have extra chairs in our dining area which can be used for this purpose. When booking your ticket, we encourage you to select either Table 2 or Table 4 to easily accommodate the inclusion of the chair. There is street parking available along East Main Street and the surrounding area. We encourage you to read and abide by all parking signage. If you don't mind a five-minute walk, complimentary parking is available for ticket holders in the 14th and Cary Parking Deck located at 1410 East Cary Street, Richmond, Virginia 23219. After parking in an unreserved space, simply bring your parking ticket with you to the workshop for validation. The validation will occur at the conclusion of the workshop and workshop attendees must bring their respective parking ticket with them. Validation will not be provided at a later time should this ticket be lost, stolen, or damaged. Validation is not provided for Ice Cream Lab participants. Additional guests are ineligible for parking validation.

Absolutely! We offer e-gift cards here. You can purchase any amount starting at $25. Please note, gift card purchases are non-refundable.

We will not be requiring masks for workshop attendees or employees. We also will not inquire about anyone's vaccination status. Due to the size of the kitchen, social distancing is not possible. As there are 4 people per workstation, parties less than 4 may share their workstation with another group. We strictly adhere to Department of Health guidelines and any person with a fever or is experiencing persistent coughing, sneezing, or a runny nose that causes discharges from the eyes, nose, or mouth may not attend the workshop.
